A ridiculous story:

A Kikuyu woman, throguh her smile and hardwork will deliver her family from the jawas of despair. She is Strong, Smart and dedicated.

I was talking to a friend (lets call him Ken), over the weekend and it was in the midst of Trump;s Shithole Countries pathetic utterances and he had a story about a mother who had four children and unfortunately for her it was during those jangwa la ukame times. Drought had hit their kingdom.

There was no food to eat and thus many a people died in the on going drought. All the mother wanted to do was feed her children.

After all the granaries had ran dry, the mother searched for a solution to ensure her kids survival and fortunately or unfortunately a brilliant idea came to her in the manner of a light bulb moment. Her kids were going to survive by her hand as she would do whatever it took to ensure their survival even though it meant it would kill her

One day the mother said she had gone to the market to get some food.

On the first day the kids were served a scrumptious meal of lean steak, some sort of prime rib. They ate and had their fill without caring to ask where the meat had come from. On the second day, the mum also managed to get some out of this world prime rib and the kids were happy. Again they ate to their fill

As the days went on the quality of meat deteriorated. It was somewhat worse and worse as the days went on. One day it was milky and rubbery... Kinda like that Jamaican Snap Back chicken . The one you bite into and its elasticity co-efficient is so great that it snaps back like a rubber band. Let me put that into perspective for you educated brethren.

"In physics, elasticity (from Greek ἐλαστός "ductible") is the ability of a body to resist a distorting influence and to return to its original size and shape when that influence or force is removed. Solid objects will deform when adequate forces are applied on them." Wikipedia.

This snap back steak was just out of this world. It would snap back and slap you right in the face.

(I get the same feeling when I eat alligator meat)

The kids started complaining about the sub par quality of the meat and that's when the mother decided to tell the truth albeit in tears.

Remember that Prime rib? This was meat from her glueteus maximus. Yes fam, the mother had sliced off here posterior in a bid to save her children. They enjoyed it. It was totally delish.

They were having that boneless expensive prime rib kind of steak without the knowledge that it was butt meat. And they liked it.

The bad meat was coming from parts of her that she wasn't really proud of but all in all, she was giving a part of who she was to ascertain the survival of her progeny. The children were just being ingrates. For without the sacrifice the mother had made, the children would have NEVER survived.

Fast foward to America.

Trump calls Africa a Shithole, which couldn't be further from the truth. But what is true in all of this is that Africa is sooo backwards and impoverished because of the sacrifices it has been forced to make to ensure its continued growth. Starting with that Trans Atlantic slave trade to Neo colonialism.

We have massive loans from the World Bank yet we are the cradle of most,if not all, of the money that is made globally through trade of minerals.

We got Diamonds in South Africa and Botswana- 35% of World Diamonds in value . Gems to be precise. Gold in Tanzania-lots of it. Niger has 44% of Uranium in Africa. Zambia has about 65% of Africa's Copper.

We are the second largest continent. Our manufacturing industries are foreign. The money made in Africa, in most cases, is repatriated to foreign countries thus ensuring the continual poverty. The car industry, the textile industry, the mining industry, you name it. All of this is going on as people of black heritage are treated like savages and told they are not enough to seat at the table. Truth be told,Trump and others like him, hate Africa for merely the color of its peoples skin.

As my friend Ken calls it, as Africans, we should offer nothing but the best, being of service to God and to human kind. Turn the indignation to victory.

After all Africa is the Motherland. Improvise , Adapt and Overcome.
